Nutcracker Auditions
Dancers & Gymnasts/Tumblers!
Selected dancers will be invited to participate in this professional production of the Chicago Festival Ballet’s production of the Nutcracker. Auditions will be held on Sunday, August 7th & August 14th at VH Dance Center, 4222 Meridian Parkway, Suite 100, Aurora, IL 60504.
No experience necessary for those under 7 years old.
*Selected dancers are encouraged to enroll in classes appropriate for their level, to learn the technique required for the performances. Rehearsals are held on weekday evenings and Saturdays. Rehearsal tuition is charged at class rates for student dancers. Rehearsals begin the first week of fall classes, 8/15/22. Participation fee varies per role given.

- Selected dancers ages 7-12 may be asked to stay for the next audition hour, 2:30-4:00pm.
- Dancers must arrive 15 minutes prior to their age group’s start time.

Auditions at our Aurora studio 8/7 & 8/14: Auditions will take place according to the following schedule:
12:30 pm - 1:00 pm: dancers ages 3-4
1:00 pm – 1:30 pm: dancers ages 5-6
1:30 pm – 2:30 pm: dancers ages 7-12
2:30 pm - 4:00 pm: dancers ages 13 & up

Contact us if unable to attend the audition dates and we can arrange another date or give instructions for a video audition.

Cast member participation fee (for those selected):
Cast as a Cherub: $40
Cast as Angel: $45
Cast as Mouse & Angel: $50
Cast as Mouse & Flower: $60
Other roles:
Cast in two roles: $70
Cast in three or more roles, or a main role: $80
