What:

bluebox’s in-house annual contemporary dance program brings together

emerging dancers and renowned guest artists in an environment

dedicated to training, creation, research, and performance.

In 26/27, we welcome a curated lineup of acclaimed choreographers and

teachers, including Akira Yoshida, Laja Field, Lewis Cooke, and many

more. Next year’s creation will be choreographed by Anton Lachky and

will celebrate its premiere at a major international dance festival in

Austria.

A full season of masterclasses, each lasting one week in a

company-like setting, is designed to support learning, development,

and the creative process. By working with our top-notch guest artists,

participants are exposed in the most direct way to the thinking and

working methods of today’s industry-leading artists.

Next season bluebox is also pioneering in bringing dance and sports

science together: Dancers are not only artists, they are also athletes

at the highest level. bluebox provides every dancer with a

personalized performance check – from fitness and endurance testing to

heart rate and blood pressure monitoring. In collaboration with our

sports science network, we have carefully designed our calendar to

minimize injury risk and improve performance levels.
