WORLD REFERENCE IN BALLET INTENSIVES
Officially licensed by the Vaganova Ballet Academy

RMB Alicante Summer Intensive 2027 offers professional classical ballet training based on the Vaganova Methodology for young dancers aged 10–19. The course brings together experienced ballet teachers, personalised guidance in small groups and a comprehensive curriculum combining technical development, artistry and performance opportunities.

Admission by audition. Full and partial scholarships available through the RMB Audition Tour. Places are limited.

At the heart of RMB’s Alicante Summer Intensive are its teachers, including current and licensed teachers of the Vaganova Ballet Academy and experienced international ballet pedagogues. Their expertise and individual approach help students develop technically and artistically through focused classical ballet training, repertoire and complementary disciplines. With groups of up to 16 students, the programme also offers workshops with invited professionals and performance opportunities, including the Final Gala and Stars Gala.

AIMED AT classical ballet students aged 10–19 and ballet teachers.

TEACHERS 

The RMB faculty includes current and licensed teachers of the Vaganova Ballet Academy and international ballet professionals with extensive teaching and stage experience.

SPECIAL GUESTS & PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

The intensive includes workshops and meetings with invited ballet artists and representatives of professional ballet institutions.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in the official audition for the Vaganova Ballet Academy’s International Trainee Programme.

FINAL GALA & STARS GALA

• 23 July 2027 — Final Gala Students present the results of their training through performances prepared during the intensive.
• 24 July 2027 — Stars Gala Held at the Teatro Principal de Alicante, Stars Gala brings together professional guest artists and RMB students. Selected students have the opportunity to share the stage or the evening with professional ballet dancers.

DURATION & PROGRAMMES

• Professional Programme 3 weeks: 4–25 July 2027
• Open Professional Programme
  1 week: 4–11 July 2027
  2 weeks: 11–25 July 2027
  3 weeks: 4–25 July 2027
• Observation Program: 1, 2 or 3 weeks

METHODICAL PROGRAM INCLUDES

Ballet, Pointe / Male technique, Repertoire, Acting, Character, Pas de Deux, Contemporary, Gymnastics, Stage Practice

• Professional program up to 6hrs per day
• Open Professional program up to 4,5 hrs per day

All students are divided into groups depending on their level and age

IN ADDITION

Small groups of up to 16 students, workshops and meetings with invited ballet professionals, Ballet Nutrition classes, individual parent–teacher meetings, English translation of classes, professional photo and video report, physiotherapy assistance by prior approval and appointment, and diplomas.

OFFICIAL ACCOMMODATION

Participants may choose optional accommodation in the residence (Complejo San Juan) offered with the course, subject to availability and to the age requirements of each course. Staying together lets students share an international environment with dancers from around the world and take part in the course’s cultural programme (performances, visits), always accompanied by RMB staff.

AUDITIONS & SCHOLARSHIPS

Admission to RMB Summer Intensives is through the RMB Audition Tour 2026–27, which also provides opportunities to receive full or partial scholarships. RMB allocates approximately €60,000 annually to scholarships and financial aid, supporting talented students and families who need financial assistance.

• Live group auditions: 2026: Braga, Portugal (14–15 Nov), Bucharest, Romania (28–29 Nov), Sofia, Bulgaria (6 Dec), Madrid, Spain (27 Dec). 2027: Alicante, Spain (10 Jan), Bristol, UK (17 Jan), Shanghai, China (23–28 Jan).
• Online group auditions: 13 Dec 2026, 16 Jan 2027.
• Individual online auditions & Video auditions

Recommended audition deadline: 31 January 2027.

To be considered for a scholarship or financial aid, applicants must pass a qualifying audition and complete enrolment, including the contract and prepayment, by 31 January 2027.
