Mystic Ballet’s MB2 – Internship Program has limited availability, demand is high and fills up quickly.

In response, we are opening a new program suitable for national and international dancers and dance students who seek experience in a company setting.

Designed exclusively for artistic development:

• Ballet
  Practice in the development of ballet technical skill, body alignment, and concepts of ballet aesthetics, used as a foundation to be able to execute the movement and body language of MB Company’s repertoire.
• Contemporary TIC Technique
  Development of techniques and principles of modern dance on an advanced level guided by artistic staff and MB teachers and company dancers.
• Repertoire
  Provides dancers with an exclusive encounter of MB’s expressive, dynamic and physical language which exemplifies emotional and spiritual human expression.
• Floor Work
  Provides dancers with instruction involving a sequence of exercises done in sitting and positions on the floor in order to stretch and warm up the body while discovering an additional form of movement expression.
• Body Conditioning & Physical Awareness
  Provides dancers with tools that will serve for practical methods to use for development of physical awareness, strengthening, conditioning, as well as avoidance and coping with injuries.
• Improvisation
  Exploration of the creation of movement through improvisation. Dancers will explore and create, while spontaneously performing inner-directed movement, including contact improvisation. It requires the desire and the ability to live each moment fully, without regard for the next or the last.

The program is designed for dancers with experience and students currently pursuing a degree in dance, or that have graduated from a dance program, and ready to advance their artistic career. The program is available in semesters. This makes it flexible and even more affordable.

In addition, dancers have the opportunity to be evaluated for MB company positions.

Acceptance to the program is by audition only, dancers and students may audition by completing online audition form and submitting audition video. This program is on first-come-first-served basis.

All interested dancers are welcome to send us a 3-minute video that shows you at your highest level and displays your technical abilities and skills as a dancer. Your video must include a pirouette, adagio, petit allegro, and grand allegro from the center. We ask that you also include exercises from a modern class.
