Boston Dance Theater 2026 Teen Immersion Project

Boston Dance Theater hosts our first Teen Immersion Project designed for dancers ages 13–18 to take part in a mock audition and receive valuable experience and feedback. Dancers who attend the intensive may also be considered for select roles in Boston Dance Theater’s December Nutcracker performances.

The Inaugural Teen Immersion Project (TIP) is a one-day pre-professional intensive designed for dancers ages 13–18 who are exploring collegiate dance programs, conservatories, and professional training opportunities.

Through contemporary technique, repertory, mentorship, and audition preparation, participants will experience Boston Dance Theater’s artistic process while gaining practical insight into the pathways available to aspiring professional dancers. The intensive offers young artists an opportunity to train alongside BDT’s artistic community, learn directly from company members, and experience the expectations of a professional contemporary dance environment.​

As part of the day’s programming, participants will also take part in a mock company audition, providing valuable audition experience in a supportive setting. Dancers who attend the intensive may also be considered for select roles in Boston Dance Theater’s December Nutcracker performances.
