Inclusive Teacher Call-out: Aldershot Youth Dance Company

We are currently looking for a teacher to lead our Aldershot Youth Dance Company, based at The West End Centre, from September onwards. 

Stopgap Dance Company are seeking to grow their pool of freelance Inclusive Dance Teachers.

We are currently looking for a teacher to lead our Aldershot Youth Dance Company, based at The West End Centre, from September onwards.

The group meets weekly from 5.15 – 6.45pm on Fridays in term-time to create and explore, play games and generally enjoy that Friday feeling!

As the teacher you will be leading the session, alongside coordinating with supporting artists from Stopgap and our regular volunteers. The group is composed of young disabled and non-disabled dancers with varying support and access needs.

Applicants need to be punctual and reliable, they need to be engaging, patient and confident leaders, with the ability to adapt as needed. Must have experience with teaching a group of differing ages (12-21) and support needs.

Ideally applicants will also have some experience in creating Community Choreography.
