ARTSinTANK International Creative Residency 2027

ARTSinTANK invites dancers, choreographers, musicians, and interdisciplinary artists from around the world to join an immersive international creative residency in Korea.
Set in a unique Korean temple-stay environment, the residency provides artists with dedicated time and space for creative research, international collaboration, artistic exchange, and performance.
Two Residency Tracks
International Dance & Music Lab
For dancers and musicians interested in movement, sound, improvisation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Choreographers’ Residency
For choreographers interested in researching, developing, or expanding new or existing work through mentoring, feedback, and creative exploration.

One of the distinctive features of ARTSinTANK is that the creative journey can continue beyond the residency.
Outstanding participants may be invited to present their work at the ARTSinTANK Dance Festival in Korea, offering selected artists an opportunity to further develop their work and experience a professional festival platform.
Our first international creation camp in 2026 welcomed artists from five countries, and four outstanding participants were subsequently selected to perform at the ARTSinTANK Dance Festival in Korea.
Our goal is to create a continuing pathway:
Research → Creation → Residency → Showcase → Festival → International Exchange

Selection
Applications are reviewed based on:
Artistic background and creative interests
Motivation for joining the residency
Artistic originality and development potential
Openness to international collaboration
Willingness to experiment across cultures and disciplines
The residency is limited to approximately 20 participants to maintain an intensive and collaborative creative environment.
Application close date: 8th December 2026
Participation fee: USD 990
