Artistry and Performance, a Summer Intensive in Ballet with Irina Lerman 2023

“Artistry and Performance, A Summer Intensive in Ballet with Irina Lerman” is a unique opportunity to meet and work with choreographer Irina Lerman who will create a new work during the 9 days of intensive for dancers to perform on July 27th.

Dancers will work closely with a former Lead Artist of Atlantic Ballet of Canada and former Ballet and Character Artist of Mariinsky Theatre! In addition to daily classes and workshops, dancers will learn repertoire from Irina Lerman’s extensive performance career including classical, character, neoclassical, and contemporary dance and perform it at Winchester Street Theatre in Toronto.

The masterclasses by Irina Lerman (former Lead Artist, Atlantic Ballet of Canada; former Ballet and Character Artist, Mariinsky Ballet) and faculty will include: 

? Ballet (Vaganova Method), 

? Pointe technique

? Classical repertoire, 

? Character dance and repertoire from the stage of Mariinsky Theatre, 

? Neo-classical repertoire and choreography, 

? Contemporary repertoire, as well as 

? Floor Barre (Knyazev’s Technique), 

? Irina’s special “Speak With Your Arms” porte de bras technique,

? Original choreography by Irina Lerman and Jera Wolfe

? and opportunities to network and ask questions.

? PERFORMANCE on July  27th (including repertoire learned in each discipline, new work by Irina Lerman)

? Professional video recording of the performance to use for auditions, portfolios, and future projects!
