The 15m2 festival has opened a call for the selection of between 6 and 8 microdance creation projects to be presented as part of the programme of the 2026 edition, which will take place in the locality of Riudaura (Garrotxa) on the theme of Memory, between 24 and 29 August 2026.

The professional microdance exhibitions will be held in diferents places of Riudaura, on 28 and 29 August 2026.

15m2 International Itinerant Microdance Festival is the first microdance festival in Catalonia. A cultural project that links stage creation with the fields of knowledge, territory and community. This year’s edition of the 15m2 festival will take place in the locality of Riudaura, in the la Garrotxa region, in the province of Girona, on the theme of Memory.

An edition to vindicate memory, so necessary to establish links between people and their contexts. Bonds that allow us to build firm relationships of care and love. To constantly reinterpret ourselves in the search for our own identity. To articulate collective narratives that reinforce the identity of peoples and people. And as Marta Tafalla observes very well in her reading of Adorno’s philosophy, memory allows us to repair the injustices of the past, prevent them from being repeated and thus, become the main hope for the future. Because memory, he adds, is everyone’s job.

To participate, it is necessary to fill in the form linked in the Terms and conditions (www.festival15m2.cat). In the same form, you must attach a single document (maximum 5 pages) with the description of the microdance project, with the following information:
- Brief synthesis of the idea and current moment of the proposal.
- Objectives, interests and general lines of work.
- Trajectory of the artistic team.
- Images or videos of previous works and of the proposal presented, in the event that it is already being worked on.
