About this Workshop
This three-day professional workshop is a great opportunity for dancers to work with Alexander Ekman’s stager and assistant, Ana Maria Lucaciu traveling from New York City to Berlin for us.
This workshop is exclusively for SHARE The Dance Intensive.
This workshop will be operated within the German government’s Covid-19 guidelines effective as of April 2022. Before applying, make sure to be able to comply with these conditions and attend the full duration of the workshop. Due to the high demand for our workshops, SHARE The Dance Intensive does not hold spots. Your payment is required within a 7-day time period.
Dancers submitting their application need to have a strong dance technique and physicality and/or any other background that supports their participation in this workshop.
Workshop Description by Ana Maria Lucaciu
In this short process, we will delve into the whimsical world of Alexander Ekman’s Cacti, made for NDT II in 2010. Since its premiere Cacti has been performed by over 30 companies around the world. The work is extremely rhythmical, musical, and filled with wit and humor.

Application Requirements

All Applicants must be professional or pre-professional dancers, movers, or performers, with a minimum age of 16 years old.

You must provide a maximum of 1-minute video link (Vimeo or Youtube) of your dancing either improvising or choreographed solo. No group piece. No Instagram or Facebook link.

A full detailed resume is to be uploaded (max 15Mb) or via a weblink (google drive, website, etc…)
Acceptance
Within 3 days after receiving your application form, we will send our response via email. A 7 days period to pay your tuition is required once our email was sent. Every un-paid application is canceled on the 8th day at 9 am.
You can pay via Credit Card or Offline by bank transfer.
