These three days of professional workshop training is a great opportunity for dancers to work on Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s practice and repertoire with a company member coming here to Berlin.
Before applying, make sure to be able to attempt these conditions and the full intensive workshop duration. This workshop will be operated within the German government’s Covid-19 guidelines effective as of August 2021. Because of the high demand for this workshop, SHARE The Dance Intensive does not hold spots. A 7 days time period requirement is given for your payment.
Dancers submitting their application need to have a strong dance and physicality technique and/or any other background that supports your participation in this workshop.

Daisy Ransom Phillips

Daisy was born in Oakland, California, and studied dance in Berkeley, San Francisco, London, and Geneva, where she was a member of the Ballet Junior.
In 2007 she arrived in Belgium to work with Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, whom she now frequently represents as a rehearsal director, notably for the duo Faun.
Based in Brussels since 2008, she has been fortunate to create work in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the U.S. with directors such as Alain Platel (les ballets c de la b), Constanza Macras (Dorky Park), Serge Aimé Coulibaly (Faso Danse Théâtre), Quan Bui Ngoc, Lisi Estarás, Iris Bouche, and Erika Tsimbrovsky.
She is a choreographer and movement coach for theater and opera, working most frequently with directors Gaia Saitta and Cecilia Ligorio, and is a founding member of the theater company IfHuman. She’s been a guest artist with, among others, the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève and the Norwegian National Ballet, a dancer for the band Tune-Yards, and a member of the Göteborgs Operans Danskompani.

Workshop Description

The focus of this professional course is to gain knowledge through practice and tasks that will be delivered on days one and two, to reinforce the comprehension and the work itself with repertoire.

Friday, August 6th, 2021​: 10:30 am – 4:30 pm
Saturday, August 7th, 2021: 10:30 am – 4:30 pm
Sunday, August 8th, 2021​: 10:30 am – 4:30 pm

Application Requirements

Before applying, make sure to be able to attempt these conditions and the full workshop course duration. This workshop will be operated within the German government’s Covid-19 guidelines effective as of August 2021.

Dancers submitting their application need to have a strong dance and physicality technique and/or any other background that supports your participation in this workshop.

To be a professional or pre-professional dancer, mover, or performer, with a minimum age of 16+.

To have a maximum 1-minute video link (Vimeo or Youtube) of your dancing, either improvising or choreographed solo. No group piece.
