These three days of professional workshop training is a great opportunity for pre-professional and professional dancers, movers, and performers to work on Wim Vandekeybus’s practice and repertoire with company member Maria Kolegova here in Berlin in the magnificent 300m2 dance studio at Dock 11 Eden*****.

Dancer/Teacher
Maria Kolegova started her dance career in a ballet school at age 5. Later she was educated as a contemporary dancer at the School of Contemporary Dance with the support of the Centre of Contemporary Art in Yekaterinburg (Russian Federation). During her studies, she discovered different techniques of dance, martial arts, yoga, etc. In 2004, Maria had the chance to perform a solo made by L. Aleksandrova in Seoul (South Korea) on a competition of contemporary dancers where she became a gold medalist. From 2007 until 2012, after graduating from the Theatrical Academy, she was part of the Russian Chamber Ballet ‘Moskva’ (Moscow).
During these years she collaborated with choreographers such as Martin Forsberg, Andrea Boll, Regis Obadia, Paul Selwyn Norton, and Nikita Dmitrievsky.

Workshop Description

The focus of this professional course is to gain knowledge through practice and tasks that will be delivered, to reinforce the comprehension and the work itself with repertoire sessions throughout the three days.

Schedule:

Friday, August 13th, 2021: 10 am – 4 pm.

Saturday, August 14th, 2021: 10 am – 4 pm.

Sunday, August 15th, 2021: 10 am – 4 pm.

Application Requirements:

Before applying, make sure to be able to attempt these conditions and the full workshop course duration. This workshop will be operated within the German government’s Covid-19 guidelines effective as of August 2021.

Dancers submitting their application need to have a strong dance and physicality technique and/or any other background that supports your participation in this workshop.

To be a professional or pre-professional dancer, mover, or performer, with a minimum age of 16+.

To have a maximum 1-minute video link (Vimeo or Youtube) of your dancing, either improvising or choreographed solo. No group piece.

Once we will have reviewed your application and if you have been accepted, we will send you an email with a link to pay your tuition. Due to the tremendous amount of applications to our professional courses, we can not hold places for more than 7 days. Your tuition secures your place.
