Presentation of tools created by Rudolf Laban (1879-1958)
—————————————————————————–

At the start of the 20th century, several tools for analyzing movement responding to various motivations were developed in Europe by Rudolf Laban (1879-1958), choreographer, teacher and theorist.
Dancer, choreographer and specialist in Laban studies, Raphaël Cottin of La Poétique des Signes – Raphaël Cottin, will present these tools within this TWO-PART WEBINAR, focusing first on a historical overview of the writing systems of movement, before presenting more specifically the Kinetography. This system, created in 1928, is practiced today in many countries in different contexts, with the same curiosity for exploring and observing the movements of the human body.
