About her workshop
A Spiritual, Physical and Musical journey
With a focus on Breathing, Relaxation and Meditation, the start of the class aims to physically and mentally soften in order to gain self awareness and develop a higher state of consciousness.
Using imagery and imagination to expand our understanding and sensations, we will then go on a complex exploration of qualities, energies, textures and musicality.
Constantly shifting from a place of total control to a place of letting go, we will try to understand how a perfect balance can be found between controlled/uncontrolled movements and conscious/unconscious choices.
The class finishes on a richly detailed dance phrase that will help us to understand how these fundamentals can be applied to any movement technique or any type of performance work.
Music being the Guide all along.
I adapt my classes to a varied range of abilities:
Company classes, Professional dancers to Non-Dancers workshops, Youth workshops and Community work.
