Description

ALTREFRONTIERE was born two years ago from the collaboration between White Cloud Studio Rome, White Cloud Opera and D.M.A. as the first edition of an international dance festival. A program structured over two weeks of technical courses and a workshop with a final performance, with Italian and foreign teachers.

Following the impediments due to the health situation of the last year, we were forced to postpone the second edition. To fill this void and inaugurate the revival of art and culture, and in particular of dance, we decided to move ALTREFRONTIERE to the Maremma hinterland (Tuscany). In collaboration with A.S.D. Danza e Armonie the second edition of the Festival will be hosted by the Agriturismo Podere Novo 153 (Ripacci, Scansano): an oasis of peace that will welcome us in its beautiful location in the green and where we can reconcile dance and contact with nature.
At the end of each week of stages, a performance open to the public will be organized, aimed at presenting the work done during the creation and improvisation workshops; the final evening will also be dedicated to the screening of the short films selected by ALTRISCHERMI 2020; a call to give visibility to unpublished artists for short films on the theme of “travel” in the period of the lockdown.

ALTREFRONTIERE was born from the desire to give visibility to a concentration of different but compatible energies in the international context of dance, apparently distant but united by the constant research through body language.
It is the idea of breaking down borders; being that the boundaries of the body and the mind, or those of a country or a culture. Body language communicates without words, it is a universal language that can bring everyone together, like music.
This festival starts with the desire to share and exchange, with the aim of expanding the information about the many methods of investigation and to have an ever wider view of the creative panorama of dance.
Variety is nothing but growth. Knowledge and exchange are precious tools for our inner growth.

* Not being able to organize the arrival for the 2nd of August, it was scheduled for the 3rd of August in the morning. As a result, the times of the first day have been adapted accordingly.

ACCOMMODATION
The Podere Novo farmhouse offers two accommodation options:
– 12 beds in mixed rooms (3-4pers. each)
– space to pitch tents (maximum capacity 6 double tents)
The venue will provide breakfast and vegeterian meals.

PRICES:
– bed + half board (breakfast and dinner) 45 euros per day
– bed + full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) 55 euros per day
– tent space + half board (breakfast and dinner) 30 euros per day
– tent space + full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) 35 euros per day
The reservation for the accommodation must be made by 15 JUNE through a deposit of 80 euros by bank transfer (details below). The whole amount directly on arrival.

COVID-19:
– All sanitary measures will be respected
– We ask for a negative Covid-19 test (PCR or antigenic) carried out 48 hours before arrival
– If any restrictions impede the normal running of the Festival, the entire amount paid will be refunded.

HOW TO GET:
if you do not have a car, we can organize recovery points at the Orbetello Scalo station or at the Scansano station.
Orbetello is connected with the big cities by train, while to get to Scansano you have to take a bus (n ° 8 / G) from Grosseto F.S.
The nearest airports are Pisa airport and Rome Fiumicino airport.
